OBTAINING A HARDSHIP LICENSE

If you are eligible for a Hardship License you will need to show proof of enrollment in DUI School and have a 30 day Traffic Search before you go to get the license.

Do things in this order and there should be no problem:

 

First:

 

Enroll in the DUI School and get proof of enrollment for the Bureau of Administrative Review office.

You should call the school first to make an appointment. The address is as follows:

Second:

 

To obtain your 30-day traffic search, go to the Traffic Division located at:

Phone (813) 276-8100 (When the computer answers Press 1 and then ext. 4351)

 

Just tell the clerk you need to get a 30 day Traffic search so that you can obtain you're hardship license.

 

Third:

 

To obtain the Hardship License, go to the Bureau of Administrative Reviews Office located at

Bring the proof of enrollment in the DUI School and for the 30-Day Traffic Search with you.

 

Hint: They usually ask how you got to the Bureau.  If you answer that you drove there or if they see you getting out of the car alone, You will not get a hardship license.

 

Have someone drive you there.
